I grew up in Northwest Montana, I currently live in Missoula Montana.
I work in television news as an anchor and producer for KAJ which broadcasts a daily 5:30 pm and 10:00pm newscast to the greater Flathead Valley, Montana area.
I have been working in television news since 2006 after graduating from the University of Montana's School of Journalism in June of 2006.
I was first hired as bureau chief for KAJ and that is where I learned the ins and outs of the television news business working a one-man band gig.
In Kalispell I was lucky enough to cover Vice President Dick Cheney visiting the Flathead as well as numerous breaking news events, one which landed me an interview with Greta Van Susteren on her national FOX News Network Show.
In January of 2008 I moved to Missoula and joined the KPAX news team as a general assignment reporter. I was able to meet President Barack Obama when his presidential campaign trail led him to Missoula, and its safe to say I have done it all from filling in on the morning show, to nabbing the weekend anchor position and reporting on local government, breaking news and creative features.
In June of 2010 I was given a first place E.B Craney Award by the Montana Broadcasters Association for my spot news coverage of the closure of Smurfit Stone Container's Frenchtown Mill.
